Wanderlust leads me down all sorts of paths, roads, trails… As of late that has meant I have gone mostly in the direction of Keto Eats. But traveling has taught me to be flexible. And that can be so aptly applied to the old saying “When in Rome”.

So When I found myself in NOLA (New Orleans) I knew eventually the path would lead to Cafe du Monde and their world famous beignets. And I knew that I would eat them & enjoy the hell out of them! I also knew I’d be drinking a ton of NOLA’s amazingly strong, smooth chicory coffee during my week there. Way more than my daily allowance of one cup ? Beside the beignets and a piece of banana foster cheesecake (duh) I eat so much amazing keto food while in ‘The Big Easy’! I really was astounded at how much keto I found in this Southern city.

If you’er thinking of visiting New Orleans I highly recommend staying in the Bywater District with fascinating history, neighborhoods, shops & restaurants. The photo shows me crossing the Rainbow Bridge to The Crescent Park and a 15min walk along the Mississippi River into the French Quarter ? and Cafe du Monde!
